There isn't a text box for writing messages, only to; subject; and attch file; so can't compose email-why
Maybe the text box is there, but you can't see it because you need to scroll your display up/down or left/right using the scroll bar controls on the right or bottom of your screen. Also try rebooting your computer and opening the email program up from scratch again to see if anything changes. There may be a crazy options setting in your email program (which you never mentioned the name of), so pull some of the upper menus down and search through all the ones that allow you to set "preferences" and the like.
