My compose feature on my yahoo email does not work at all, nor the reply or forward features. How to fix?

I am not able to compose an email message and when i try the page that pops up is an attachment like page and it says error on page in the done space (near the e). so do i have to reboot the whole yahoo (download again) or can i do something less dramatic to fix it? Could it be a virus? I tried downloading chat (reg java) the old version from the yahoo.com webpage and it wouldnt work. messenger (with voice) wouldnt work either and although downloaded and open it would not work. so maybe a virus was included in that download? Good to check this out before A BIGGER problem happens!!! tytyty jj

the yahoo 7.5 beta, has a lot of setting up you have to do to make it compatible, you have to set firewall settings. If you to to Yahoo help, you can find the instructions there.


It is easier to get the old 7.0, the Java chat has been discontinued from what I understand, before installing any versions of Yahoo, unistall the old one first in add/remove programs, you might have a corrupted copy
Reply:seems like something is blocking it. check your pop up blocker settings. maybe the settings are way up to high, that its preventing anything, even the safe stuff, to run on your computer.
