I am trying to compose an email message, and there is no box to type message. Same with a reply. Problem?

When I try to attach file, an error page displays at the bottom of screen above start.

i had the same problem too this is what you do to fix it sign in and go to mail then on the right side there is some blue underlined words click on the one that says options the under managements find where it says General Preferences click on that then find where it says composing e-mails the below that says compose e-mails as plain text click on that then scroll down and click save now you can compose

Thousands are having many different problems with their mail as there is still a glitch that Yahoo! hasn't gotten fixed yet in their new format.


This applies to almost all areas of mail (including signing in, composing, receiving, sending, attachments, photos etc.) and search problems, in standard and beta mail, for the last two weeks.


I found this in What's New In Mail:

So, It appears we have to un-install these two things or try to work around them by using some of these:

Here's how:





Click the "Options" link in the upper right of your Mail page.


On the Options page, in the "Management" column, click on "General Preferences".


Find the "Composing E-mails" section, "Mode:", and choose "Compose messages as plain text".


Scroll to the bottom and click the "Save" button.


Now try it. Can you Compose, Reply to a message or Forward?





If so, great! We're done.

First Try scanning your Pc with antispyware (antivirus are weak in detecting them so)

Also seems your email has got infected (not 100% sure) sp try email scanning with your antivirus , Av's like TrendMicro have such facilities to scan Emails even Avast and others does.
Reply:1- the important thing to check for spyware, viruses


2- delete the temporary folder and history of internet usage by select from tools menu in ue internet explorer the internet options, the delete files, and history


3- try to remove or shutdown any other software wile sending email

This is a serious problem. You should write to Yahoo to lodge a complaint. Try changing LAN settings and see if this can solve the problem. Contact your service provider for help on changing LAN settings.

How can I get rid of silly cartoon when I compose original email using Yahoo Classic? ?

Is it in your signature field? If so, you can delete it there.


1. With your email page open in yahoo, click on the "Options" link in the upper right.


2. Scroll down to and click on "Signatures" and a box will open for you to type or change your signature.


3. Highlight and delete the cartoon if that is where it is.


4. Click "Save" to leave it blank.

They may have a spam filter on that blocks it, or they may have unintentionally blocked you, or their may be a filter on the computers internet provider that is blocking it.
